THERE IS A RIVER

  • This is a prophetic painting about the Lord bringing His church together in unity in the last days, and answering the prayers of the generations.
  • The treasure in the snow: Job 38:22-30 describes this in detail.
  • Job 38:22-23,29-30 22 “Have you entered the treasury of snow, Or have you seen the treasury of hail, 23 Which I have reserved for the time of trouble, For the day of battle and war? 29 From whose womb comes the ice? And the frost of heaven, who gives it birth? 30 The waters harden like stone, and the surface of the deep is frozen.
  • The storehouse of snow speaks of the prayers throughout the generations – yet to be answered prayers. So often we’ve been praying for revival for the generations, and we’ve yet to see it, but this doesn’t mean God’s not working He’s just letting us build up the snow pack of prayer until such a time of His visitation..
  • Even as a woman gives birth ice is brought forth. Ice doesn’t water the ground as quick as the rain does, but it melts in due season.
  • In the natural most of the glaciers and icecaps in the world are melting and receding, the Bible says first comes the natural then the spiritual.
  • There’s a time coming when God’s word is going to command the snow to melt, and the rivers to flow in the spiritual realm.
  • Psalm 147:15-18 15 He sends out His command to the earth; His word runs very swiftly. 16 He gives snow like wool; He scatters the frost like ashes; 17 He casts out His hail like morsels; Who can stand before His cold? 18 He sends out His word and melts them; He causes His wind to blow, and the waters flow.
  • When it’s cold outside the snow of the glaciers don’t melt, but when God says it’s time the mountains will melt in the presence of the Lord and the rivers of God will be full of water. “ Oh that there might be waters to swim in”, Ezekiel the prophet says.
  • When the presence of the Lord comes the snow melts – the prayer is answered. We need enough snow pack (Prayer) to sustain revival when it comes. Read Ps 97:1-6
  • Psalm 97:5 5 The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the LORD, At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
  • There is coming a time when the mountains will melt, this will cause the river of God to flow.
  • Psalm 65:9 You visit the earth and water it, You greatly enrich it; The river of God is full of water; You provide their grain, For so You have prepared it.
  • While I was painting “There is a River”, I knew there was something more to the painting than I was seeing. So one Friday night while painting the Lord told me to put down my brushes and go to this prayer meeting. A certain brother came up to me and said, “Mike I feel you have the word of the Lord for tonight.” So I told him, “I’ll pray and see.” About a half hour went by and sure enough the Lord impressed on me to share about the treasure in the snow. While I was preaching I shared an impression I had a number of years earlier about 10 mountain peaks and several water falls coming into a lake and out came a mighty rushing river. I said this speaks of all the streams of the body of Christ coming together in the last days, that we might be one as Him and the Father are one. I paused, and said “Oh wow this is what I’m painting the unity of the Body of Christ coming together and I didn’t even realize it. When this last day revival comes it’s all the churches working together that call upon the name of the Lord.
  • Psalm 46:4 There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High.
  • I went home and I counted 10 mountain peaks in the painting, God will perform His word. A face of a man showed up in the highest small mountain in the center of the painting. You can see the eyes and eyebrows, and the moustache of a man. While I was worshipping the Lord one day, I heard the Lord speak to my heart, “Mike you don’t know what I look like, for all practical purposes the face on the mountain is mine, and I’m watching over My Word to perform it.” (Jer 1:12)
  • Only God through prayer and unity of His true church will bring about this last day move of God.
  • Maybe you’ve been praying over something specific, keep on believing you will see His promises.
  • Hidden symbol, cross on the rock lower right corner, Scripture verse Ps 46:4 also in the lower right hand corner. The face of God in the mountain that I didn’t know was there at first, a face of man on the rock in the river. Praise God the “Rocks will cry out in these last days, all creation will praise the Lord.”
